Perimeter Defense with Zero False Alarms
False alarms and nuisance alarms are counterproductive, time-consuming disturbances that, when recurrent, can lead to ignored intrusion attempts and potential break-ins.
A false alarm is generated when a system registers an alarm for no known reason whatsoever. A nuisance alarm is generated when a perimeter defense system mistakes environmental conditions for an actual intrusion attempt. Some of the causes for nuisance alarms include vegetation growth, animal contact, and inclement weather conditions, amongst others.
GDI perimeter defense systems are false alarm free as a result of the following technologies:
- Patented detection processing algorithms which are immune to changing environmental conditions. GDI solutions continue to reliably detect intrusion attempts even while buried in snow!
- Patented temperature compensation mechanisms ensure appropriate IPB (Ingress Prevention Barrier) configurations are maintained at all times, under all circumstances, even during ongoing intrusion attempts.
- Patented technology allows the GDI solution to discriminate between incidental wildlife contact and creeping vegetation, and actual intrusion attempts by a human. GDI Solutions are so advanced that they even identify the type of intrusion event while it is in progress, letting the operator know if the intrusion is a climbing, penetrating, or cutting type of intrusion attempt.
